Kotido district is grading the road network via Potongor Parish, Kanair sub to Turkana county in Kenya.
The grading of the road murram is meant to make easy access to markets and enable transportation of agricultural produce.
The road is being constructed using Kotido district’s local revenue collections, officials have confirmed.
Frederick Ajuzi, the Kotido district engineer, explained that the construction works are at 80% and they expect the works to be completed soon.
The district is spending sh40m to grade the road, the LC5 chairman Paul Lotee Komol who said it is fulfillment of his manifesto promise to the people.
Lotee asked the people to be patient saying that more development is still coming and he promised to work with the government to improve infrastructure in the district for the better living of his people.
Ambrose Onoria, Resident district commissioner Kotido district, appreciated the district leaders for implementing planned development projects.
