Westnile team arrives in Karamoja

 

Westnile team welcomed by Karamoja Province

At exactly 10:45am when the grounds of Moroto Municipality was still recovering from the heavy downpour of the previous night, the minibus Costa UBJ 022D carrying the Westnile Province team parked at Rapona Apartments, Senior quarters, Moroto Municipal.

The team members checked into their different hotel rooms and by midday, all were on their bed resting from the 11hours travel that started from Nebbi at around 10pm the previous night.

Speaking to a few players upon arrival, goalkeeper Norman Angufindru said the journey was tiresome but they hope to have enough rest before the game and perform to the best during the game.

Another player, Saidi Munir said, the team has come to claim victory and focussed to head to the next round with home and away wins.

Karamoja province trails Westnile by 5-0 that was recorded in the first leg of the games at the Greenlight stadium Arua last week on Friday. The second leg is scheduled for sunday 14th August 2022, 3pm at Naitakwwae sports complex, Moroto.
